The fairytale gondola

Even the ride from Grächen up to the Hannigalp becomes an experience. In the lovingly designed fairytale gondolas, well-known stories by the Brothers Grimm accompany you on the way up the mountain.

The colourful gondolas and the SiSu-&-Friends gondolas make the roughly ten-minute ride a special experience for children and families. Each gondola tells its own story and sets the mood for the fairytale mountain world of the Hannigalp.

SiSu Family Park

A large play and adventure paradise for children awaits you on the Hannigalp. The SiSu Family Park offers plenty of space to play, explore and let off steam amid the Valais mountain scenery.

Mountain biking on the Hannigalp

The Hannigalp is also a popular destination for mountain bikers and e-mountain bikers. With the bike park and the flow trail, there are two different options available – from technical obstacles and short courses to a sporty descent through forest and alpine meadows.

The gondola takes guests and bikes comfortably from Grächen up to the Hannigalp. If you’d rather save your energy for the descent, you can take your bike up in the gondola and start your bike adventure right at the top.

Flowtrail Grächen

The Flowtrail Grächen is a downhill course around 5 kilometres long, starting from the Hannigalp at about 2,124 m a.s.l. The route leads along narrow gravel trails, through Swiss stone pine and larch forests, and across lush alpine meadows.

Berms, rollers and jumps make every run a varied experience. The flow trail is suitable for mountain bikes and e-mountain bikes, but requires confident riding and a bike suited to the trail.

Bike Park Hannigalp

The Bike Park on the Hannigalp offers an action-packed course with various obstacles. The park is ideal for training riding technique, balance and concentration.

A magic carpet lift takes riders comfortably back to the start on weekends and on selected fair-weather days. This eliminates the strenuous ride back up, and the descents can be repeated several times.

After your bike experience, a kiosk invites you to enjoy a refreshment, a snack or an ice cream.

Bike rental and equipment

If you’re not bringing your own bike or would like to try a modern alternative, you’ll find suitable rental options and accessories in Grächen. At ONE Sports, for example, you can rent modern bikes. Helmets, protectors and other accessories are also available before a tour. Good equipment increases safety and ensures more riding fun on the flow trail and in the bike park.

Summer on the Hannigalp

In summer, the Hannigalp is an ideal starting point for hikes, mountain bike tours and family outings. Around the mountain station, varied paths lead through blooming alpine meadows and sunny mountain landscapes.

Accessibility

The Hannigalp is easy to reach from Grächen via the Hannigalp cable car. It runs from the village centre directly up to the adventure and viewpoint mountain.
